ABSTRACT Febby Hendri Lesmana, Self-objectification: insight and humor student strata 1 Esa Unggul University. (Taught by Winanti Siwi Respati Dra. Psi, Msi and Sugiyanto, Drs. MM). The phenomenon that occurs at the Oneness University Excellence which is the number of students who obtained a GPA < 2.75 in addition to his lack of self-awareness of students in completing each task given by the lecturer. Do not have the will to know advantages and disadvantages of yourself is also not willing to accept opinions from friends and other people. To be able to perform each task as a student, they are required to become a mature person. According to Allport there are six types of a mature personality, one of which is self-objectification: insight and humor (self-awareness). This research is quantitative research using descriptive method. The population in this study as many as 3500, which consisted of as many as 866 students of the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Engineering 146 students, Faculty of Health Sciences as much as 521 students, as many as 422 students of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Communication Science as much as 647 students, 127 students of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Faculty Psychology 256 students, Faculty of Computer Science as many as 515 students. Samples were ed using proportionate stratified random sampling with active student criteria Esa Unggul University. How sampling based on a percentage of the amount of each force. Determination of the number of samples with standard error of 5% obtained a sample of 317 respondents. Research using a questionnaire instrument composed of Allport theory using Likert scales are: very suitable (SS), suitable (S), inappropriate (TS), and is not suitable (STS). After being tested the validity of self-objectification to scale: insight and humor obtained valid items as many as 43 items and the reliability test using Cronbach-alpha coefficient technique using SPSS 17:00 obtained results with coefficient of 0926. data analysis in this research using descriptive statistics and presentation in the form of pie charts and tables. The results showed that self-objectification: insight and humor student / Esa Unggul University student is in the low category. Students with low levels of self-objectification likely that male sex was 22 years old comes from the faculty / engineering majors have GPA> 2.75. In addition there are also students who have a high level of self-objectification, likely a female aged 22 years came from faculty / economics majors have GPA> 2.75. for the most dominant dimension in the scale of self-objectification is the dimension of humour.
