Optimalisasi Penjadwalan Produksi Dengan Metode Algoritma Genetika dan Metode Campbell, Dudek and Smith di PT. Progress Diecast

ABSTRACT PT. Progress Diecast is a manufacturing company in automotive diecasting industry. In general, diecasting industry can be classified into aluminium diecasting and zinc diecasting. The company implements make to order system with general flow shop production system. Automotive component production process needs to go through different stages, however it is not all products have to pass all of stages, it depends on its type. The problem that faced recently is the lateness in finishing some orders beyond the due date, which could cause the increasing in production cost. This happens because the company still uses First In First Out Method. As a result, production scheduling using heuristic method, Campbell, Dudek and Smith method and Genetic Algorithm method is more recommended because these can help the company to determine job sequence precisely in order to minimize makespan and mean flow time. This research project also designed a scheduling program using MATLAB program to guide the company in determining precise job sequence easier with Genetic Algorithm (GA) method, GA has counting process quicker and more accurate than the manual one. From the result of using Campbell Dudek, and Smith Method, the optimum job squence12-11-16-18-21-22-14-15-17-13-23-24-9-10-25-26-19-20-4-3-2-1-5-6-7-8 with makespan value 84.472 days and mean flow time 45.076 days. Genetic Algorithm using MATLAB program produced job squence 11 - 21 - 17 - 24 - 7 - 15 - 23 - 3 - 14 - 8 - 13 - 9 - 1 - 22 - 10 - 26 - 2 - 20 - 6 - 18 � 25 - 4 - 5 - 19 - 16 � 12 with makespan value 78.136 days and mean flow time 43.7897 days. Based on the makespan value and mean flow time value, the recommended method is Genetic Algorithm Method.
