ABSTRACT MAULIYA UTAMI �ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION SOCCER PLAYERS IN THE GAREC�S SOCCER SCHOOL� (Guided by Levianti M.Si., Psi. and Dra.Safitri, M.Si) Achievement motivation is a person's tendency to direct and sustain behavior to achieve a standard of achievement. High or low motivation of a player depends on his efforts to achieve a certain goal. School football players in Football Garec's had a pretty brilliant achievements in the past, but now performance decreases, so that this phenomenon needs to be investigated. This research is a quantitative research. The number of samples of 114 soccer players using stratified proportionate random sampling. research Instrument using questionnaires based on the theory of achievement motivation McClelland, using Likert scale. Obtained valid items were 62 items and reliability testing using Cronbach Alpha coefficient technique. Coefficient value of 0.968 is obtained. Based on the result of this research note that the football players in the SSB Garec‟s own motivation tends to be high at 56.7% and who are achievement motivated tend to below at 43.2%. Players who have high achievement motivation and players tend to have low achievement motivation tends to be influenced by the motive power.
