Abstract\r\nValues are an important feature for every one of us. Everyone has his or her characteristic\r\nvalues which consequently determine a total nature of society. In the process of socialisation\r\nthese values are transferred from one generation to another maintaining the main features\r\nof society. Switching from social to professional standing, we can find certain connection\r\nbetween a value orientation and professional role in a work team.\r\nThe paper deals with research survey whether there is a mutual relation in value portraits\r\nof the respondents and in their team roles categorisation. The survey was performed\r\nusing questionnaire methods Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ) and Belbin team roles.\r\nData analysis stems from one-dimensional and multi-dimensional analysis. It concerns\r\nespecially a survey analysis of data and respondents� roles, and the testing of twodimensional\r\nfeatures dependencies using contingency tables. Research results show that\r\nthe dependency between value portraits of respondents and their team role categorisation\r\ncan be expected.\r\nBelbin team roles, Portrait Values Questionnaire, pilot research, project team.
